Kapap AberdeenThe name Kapap comes from the full name Krav Panim El Panim and literally means ‘face-to-face combat’. Kapap is still used today by the Israeli Special Forces and anti-terrorist units in a variety of threatening situations. Kapap is now taught in 20 countries throughout the world and is renowned as an effective method of self defence for government personnel as well as civilians. Our Kapap instructor was trained by Major Avi Nardia from the Kapap Academy who served in the Israeli counter-terrorist unit and has trained police forces and military personnel all over in the world in the art of Kapap hand-to-hand combat. The modern Kapap that we teach in our sessions in Aberdeen focuses on self defence and being able to react if you’re the victim of an attack or assault. So what will you learn?You'll learn to defend against;
Kapap will also teach you to function under stress, shock and the adrenaline rush that a sudden, violent encounter can cause.Tested on the battlefield and in today’s streets, Kapap’s practical approach to self-defence will make you safer and more secure.What are the benefits for me?Awareness Students of Kapap use basic moves in various combinations to fend off violent attacks. This means that students adjust to new situations through improvisation, an important and unique feature of this style. This requires using the head as well as the body, and thus Kapap addresses the thought process as well as the physical action. Confidence Improvisation also allows for limitations in physical abilities. Not everyone can bring his or her leg up to a 180 degree angle, and thus the system is geared towards the average person. Students are taught a variety of possible defensive reactions for each possible attack situation, building upon an actual framework of useable techniques. They are then encouraged to utilize the responses that are appropriate to their capabilities. This allows the student to develop a sense of confidence in their abilities. Because physical fitness is closely interwoven into the system, the workout includes a number of cardiovascular and strength building exercises, as well as stretching to increase flexibility. Emphasis is put on speed, endurance, strength, accuracy and coordination, especially for intensive Kapap training. Kapap is a style benefiting both the individual who seeks serious self defence training as well as the practitioner seeking to round out prior martial art knowledge. It is a style that proves most effective against any type of assault. Call now on 07882 625 016 to book your Kapap session because you never know what’s around the next corner.
